Betrothed to one man but falling in love with another, Sophie will need to decide how much she’s willing to sacrifice in order to become the empress she is destined to be.

Recommends December 19, 2015
Hello everyone! Today, I'm going to be recommending one of my favourite series of all time...
The Everealm Series by J.D.W
So, If you've been around on my blog for a while, you've probably already seen this. Here are some other posts where I've mentioned this series:
This is a series about a young girl named Breestlin (or Bree for short), who becomes queen at the age of twenty-three, which also happens to be the time that her long lost love, Rowan (aka perfection) returns from his "missions." She feels like she isn't ready to be queen, as her uncle, Silas, who was abandoned by her father, keeps trying to replace her as the ruler and/or destroy her kingdom itself.
As you can see, I am very bad at synopsises(is that a word) so click HERE to get a full, official description.
5 reasons why you absolutely, positively, completely HAVE to read this series:
J.D.W's writing style is incredible, and I am sure you will enjoy every word she writes. She describes EVERYTHING with vivid detail, and you will see the story play out in your head like I did. The writing also flows naturally, and you'll fly through it. You won't find a boring sentence in the whole series.
The plot may seem like something you've seen before, but the way it plays out is definitely unique. There are so many twists an turns in the series. All the different places, people and principles described in this book are extremely interesting, and the magical elements will keep you turning the pages. The world in the books is also very well developed.
There's Magic In It!:
In this world, not everyone has the magic, and the magical ceremonies and spells in this series are probably very different to any other book you've read. The magical places and communities in the books are not what you'd expect. One of the main characters, Dagan, has a unique magical bond with something/someone which makes certain scenes very... alluring.
I don't know about you, but I love royals in books. Their lifestyle is usually completely different than us normal folks, so it is refreshing to read about them. Regardless of their royal status, the main characters, Bree (the queen), Rowan (the
perfection oops, I mean the main love interest), Dagan (the wizard/love interest) and Sidonie (the queen's best friend/ the other main love interest) all had me in love with them from their very first appearances. Even the characters who appear to be sidekicks are very well developed and are often given spotlights.
This series is written in third person, so it's not exactly everyone's point of view. However, we basically get to hear everyone's thoughts, as each chapter focuses on a new character's mind, and that character's story is wholly explained almost as if it was their point of view, but through the words of the writer. (I don't know if that made any sense, but it's like the Mortal Instruments.)
Overall, you should read this series because it has an awesome story, awesome characters, and awesome writing. Besides, the writer is a really genuine and friendly person, so she really deserves her incredible story to be read by more people, aka the whole world!
If you do decide to read this series, or you've already read this series, please, please PLEASE share you're thoughts in the comments down below.

VELICIOUS PART TWO
By: Shelique Lize
Series: Velicious Series #2
Publication Date: November 30th, 2015
Genres: Paranormal Romance
* Velicious Part Two cannot be read as a stand alone.
Justice Labelle has lost too much in this war of monster and men, and it needs to stop now. After her run in with Erin, which left her lying in a hospital bed, black and bloody blue, Justice is no longer going to sit by and simply accept the twisted hand, that has been dealt. Especially since she now has superhuman powers, all thanks to her being a Doll. Her one and only passion– To get through College and practice law at a top tier firm, is fading from her grasp and its all because of Calvin, Dante, Vampyres and the Government. In fact the government has more secrets than kids have candy… And they’re all just as deadly as the enemies they hunt. But you know what? Justice has come up with her own master plan and heaven help the Vampyre, monster or human that gets in her way!
1. 1. If you had to change the name of Velicious, what would you change it to?
Honestly, I went through many names when trying to decide and nothing seemed to fit. I wouldn’t change the name of Velicious. I love it and I think it fits the theme of the book.
2. If you had a pseudonym, what would it be?
Well, technically I’m using one which is my author name. Shelique is my real name and I’m using my husband’s last name which I haven’t technically claimed, or changed when we got married. I know, not very creative, but hey, it works XD
3. Is the cover of Velicious the one you always imagined, or would you change it?
Omg, the cover! Part one, I changed the cover two other times before settling on the one that’s currently on my website and amazon. Goodreads has an old cover. This new updated cover for Velicious Part one and Two I love completely and I wouldn’t change it now.
4. When did you decide you wanted to write?
I think like many authors, I always had a crazy imagination. I didn’t think about taking it seriously for a while because people discouraged me against that road in life. I was taught to do something realistic, something like being a nurse, or accounting, but doing what everyone claimed to be the real job, for me wasn’t that great.
I finally stumbled into writing when a friend of mine suggested that I take some classes and see where it takes me. That was six years ago and it took me five years to write Velicious Part One and Velicious Part Two took me less than a year. I decided that I was going to do what makes me happy.
5. How often per week do you write?
I try to write two hours in the morning, before the kids wake up.
6. Do you write on a typewriter, computer or on paper?
Computer and sometimes my notepad.
7. What is the hardest thing about writing?
For me, I like to toss in a lot of things. I get excited and my mind goes all crazy, and then to organize my mind, so I create something that makes sense is hard for me. I need to control my thoughts and take one step at a time.
8. Do you ever get writer's block? If you do, how do you overcome it?
Yes, I take a break from that story and work on another piece where those characters are talking to me. Or I just relax and don’t write for a few days. Sometimes your mind is telling you to relax and take a break. Listen to your body.
9. Are you planning on doing a book-trailer, or is one already out?
I have one out for Velicious Part One, it was made when Velicious first came out and it was with the original book cover. You can find it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K2NR8RPacI
I still like it, a year and a half later. I want to have it redone with the new book cover.
10. What is your favourite quote from Velicious?
Oh my, I have so many. Especially scenes with Dante and Justice.
From Velicious Part One: “His gaze was full of an unquenched appetite, a hunger with no purpose.” I tend to use that line on a lot of promotional items.
Justice Labelle always had her life perfectly planned.
Her goals were to graduate from University and get into law school.
Then one day, Justice tried to kill herself.
Well, not her technically. It may have been her body, but those actions weren’t intentional and the suicidal thoughts were not hers. Or, so she keeps telling her therapist and family. Justice is afraid she’s losing her mind and just wants to forget everything. But when her best friend is murdered, another one is being mind-screwed by a Vampyre, and her ex is back in town, looking as scrumptious as ever and very suspicious, maybe she isn’t all that crazy!
Christmas is right around the corner, so besides the Rafflecopter,
Shelique Lize has decided to give The Velicious Series away for free!
PART ONE CODE: 8UJISKZYYN
PART TWO CODE: 6MDJUOCHB1
Shelique Lize is an awesome mother of two beautiful baby girls, and a wife to the luckiest man on the planet. It took her five years to write Velicious Part One but once her first daughter was born, she decided to revisit the world that she had created. Falling in love with her characters all over again, she wanted to finish their story. Velicious Part Two was written in half the time. Shelique loves anything to do with the paranormal world. She’s a proud Canadian but dislikes winter. She prefers watching the snow falling beautifully from inside a warm home. Currently she likes to listen to The Weeknd and Lana Del Rey, and she’s pretty open to every other genre of music.
