Blood Moon (Everealm #3)

Release Date: January 1st 2016

Summary from Goodreads:

The aftermath of the wildfire has caused undesirable events to unfold in Everealm. When something precious is taken from Junacave, Bree and the others must hunt down a wizard and retrieve a stolen amulet in order to save their beloved. Little do they know, the amulet may very well be hiding secrets of its own.

On her journey to a better life, away from Labara, Rianne discovers that being on her own is more challenging than she had predicted. Determined to escape her betrothal to King Carneath, she must do everything in her power to avoid being captured or else face a certain life of misery. Along the way, she stumbles upon a new ally, who may be the answer to her prayers.

Bonds are broken, relationships are tested, and new love is forged under the Blood Moon, Book Three of the Everealm Series.
Adult content. Intended for mature audiences.
Writing has always been a hobby of mine, beginning as a young child. It was a way to cope with losing my father at seven years of age. I started with poetry and was featured several times on the amazing poetry blog, Autumn Leaves, by Sondra Ball. My love for poetry soon led to writing songs in middle school and beyond, which I still do occasionally. Music has always been an important part of my existence, so writing songs came naturally to me. In high school, I started my own novel, however, life got in the way and I never finished it.

Okay, So, I might be a little bit obsessed with this book... or a lot.. with the whole series.... don't judge.... :)

This book was just as good as te first two, if not better. The amazing writing style was brought back, the well developed characters were seen again and new characters were developed. The plot was just as amazing but I really think the characters are the gems in this series.

In Blood Moon, there are a lot of different things happening that eventually intertwine. We have Bree, Rowan, Dagan and Sidonie who mainly remain in Junacave, along with Reeve and his "fairy partner." Something valuable to them has been stolen and needs to be retrieved. We also have Rianne and Zander, where the former has run away from her home and found the latter during her journey. Dahlia has found a new partner at Rianne's home and Finn and Adelphie go through some rough spots. The two little sisters, Sarita and Gabby, also go on some... dare I say "wild" adventures. Somehow, Silas and Vallica have found their way back (in)to each other. The book is called "Blood Moon" is because  an important event that happens in the book has the same name.

I will be getting into spoilers now, so I suggest you scroll past the rest of this if you wish not to be spoiled.

Let's talk spoilers...

I feel like Bree and Rowan were acting more like parents to Sarita than actual "to-be-married" partners. I think all the wedding planning had stressed them out so we didn't really get much Browan in this book, but what we did get was still A-MA-ZING! I love that Rowan was clever enough to slip the real stone into his pocket after Dagan's father gave them a fake.

Sidonie and Dagan did fight a bit about Cassandra, but other than that, Sidagan was on fire! It was really awkward when they were caught... in the middle of a garden. I loved the conversation about marriage between the two - so cute! We saw a sweeter side to Dagan that we hadn't before.

Rianne and Zander were hilarious! Zander kept teasing Rianne and she kept saying "Shut UP!" and laughing along. For most of the book, they were just friends and it was fun to read. The way those two became a couple.... geez.

I am so glad that Rhea and Reeve managed to figure it out at the end. It was so sweet when they actually did reconcile, and why they reconciled. They might be one of my new OTPs... not sure... but maybe....

Sarita and Gabby, oh gosh, I feel so sorry for them! They were kidnapped, and on top of that, Sarita found out something life changing about her parents. It was weird watching two little girls try to escape from the tower. It almost felt like they weren't little girls, but grown up women.

I cannot believe what happened to Adelphie! Finn does not deserve any of this. He is the single sweetest person in the whole world! Whoever took away her memories shall pay...

Dahlia and Xavier... so that happened. I never thought Rianne and her family would be a prominent part of the book, but it turned out that way. I don't fully trust Xavier yet but I hope he'll grow on me. Then again, I hated Dahlia at first.

Silas and Vallica. I didn't think Vallica could have been that much of a dumb bitch as to willingly go back to her ex-husband. But she did. I just wanted to slap her so hard. I cannot believe her.

I cannot wait to read Aurora and the conclusion, but I really don't want this series to end!

About the Author

Fast forward many years later and I find myself married with three children, absorbed in my busy life with commitments to my family, work, school, church, and charities, among other things. One day I came across my old binder, with notes from my first novel, and it was with those notes that I conjured up the elusive Everealm.
I write to please readers such as myself, who have a love for fantasy and romance, but like a little danger and sex in their reading. I wrote the book with a mature audience in mind, who can appreciate a hearty imaginary world with magic and the unknown, but want more than fluffy love stories with wizards in them. They want the romance, magic, and danger, all wrapped into one.

  1. I am so glad you liked it! I just finished writing Aurora last night. Editing it now. I would love to send it to you once it's ready for release, if your schedule will allow it. Just let me know! :)

P.S. When you said Silas and Vallica found their way back (in)to each other, I accidentally shot Pepsi out of my nose! That was hilarious...

  2. Yay! It feels so good knowing there's another nearly finished book in this series out there! Honestly, my schedule is not really a priority over your books. I would read them the instant I get them even if I was in the middle of a tsunami. Haha, I hope you're okay! When Silas and Vallica got back together, I fell off the bed and almost
threw the kindle at the wall. They seem to have very... Strong effects on people XD
