Upon the return of her first love, Rowan, Bree must quickly learn how to adapt to both her new responsibilities as a ruler and her inability to suppress her feelings for Rowan. To make matters more difficult, her outcast uncle, Silas, will stop at nothing to get what he desires, putting lives and the kingdom in danger. Bree must seek the assistance of the wizard, Dagan, who in a twist of fate discovers much more about his family (and himself) than he could ever imagine in this steamy love story, full of mystery and romance...
Danger awaits, as we journey through Everealm, the first book of the Everealm Series.
Okay, first of all, I have two questions:

a) Why did it end so fast? Like, I read book 1 last august and it's barely been a year and we're done? Already? What am I supposed to do with my life now?

b) Was I living under a giant rock for 50 years? Like... WHEN DID EVERYBODY ELSE GROW UP WITHOUT ME? I'm sitting here, still a kid in school, reading a book and they're all having their babies and getting married and I'm just like...

Anyway, now that we've established that, let's get into the actual review aka me gushing or ranting about everything.

So, first, Dahlia goes to Xavier's place, Labara to sing for Sera's birthday, which was awesome. I loved when Xavier punched that idiotic pervert at the cavern and I love that they FINALLY got back together after he was tied up at Sire. #Xahlia

I loved the meeting between Tristan, Cassidy and Bree. Poor little Cassidy, King at 10 years old. That must be a horrible way to spend your childhood. They plan to attack Sire on three fronts and they want to keep it quiet. *all glare at Cassidy* It's funny that both of the other "adults" were the ones who told their relatives, not Cassidy. Hmmm...

The first Winter Ball was hilarious. Rowan was so prepared to escort Sarita and then little Cassidy zips past him. Protective fatherliness at its best. I could just imagine Rowan standing there, smoking coming out of his ears, devil horns pointed at Cassidy. xD

Silas is dead. And this time, I actually mean it. The bloke is gone. I always thought it would be one of our own that would kill him but SURPRISE SURPRISE! It was Vallica. VALLICA, of all people. I still hate her, but I definitely HAVE to thank her for that. Now that she has run off with random travellers, I hope we never see her face again!

The part where Dahlia blatantly disobeyed everybody by going to Sire despite Bree's protests was cute. Especially when she found Xavier there, trying to kill Silas first so nobody would have to know about Dahlia's true identity. And then she ties him up! Classic Dahlia, amirite?? And then she goes in and finds Penelope, sent by Bree, and they both get "captured." Then Vallica's poison starts acting up, and Silas dies. YYAAAAAAYYY!

But then, the rest of the troops get there and Bree punishes Dahlia by making her Queen of Sire. Whaaaaaaaa!?!? Dahlia? Queen? We're talking about the same person here? She runs off when life gets too hard? She is a travelling bard? Dahlia is queen?? I mean, she is very controlling and poised, so I guess she'd make a good queen. I was surprised, nonetheless. I never thought of Dahlia as anything other than Dahlia. (Sorry Zander, I took the words out of your mouth... literally.)

I am so happy Xavier decided to stay in Sire and rule (kind of) beside Dahlia. And they are engaged! Yay! One more couple closer to happily ever after. How could I be happier?

I cannot believe Dahlia and Xavier asked Rianne and Zander to stay in Sire. They thought they should take a break and settle in one place after travelling around, helping people for so long. Zander is officially Sire's Royal Mage, hurray!

The tournament scene was one of my favourites. I loved that Adelphie came with Jolene. She remembers! She remembered everything ! And I cannot believe she actually lost the tournament on purpose so she wouldn't have to come back next year. But thankfully, before she left, Sidonie and Dagan figured it out, and told Finn. I was laughing so hard when Finn stole a horse and rode off, trying to find Adelphie and when he came back, Oliver (was it?) was like... she's right there, you know? He went and kissed her and they joked about adopting more children found by Adelphie (like Jolene.) *sigh* What perfection.

The blooming relationship between Gabby and Oliver was adorable. I loved how nervous they were while giving birth to a horse. (I don't mean they gave birth to a horse, I mean they pulled a baby horse out of a female horse... you get what I mean.) When Oliver finally worked up the courage to kiss her, this was me:

Rhea and Reeve were so hilarious. It was funny how Reeve kept being overprotective of Rhea, and she kept getting frustrated and cursing. When the baby finally came, Reeve was stuck outside, pacing like a clueless dad with the not-so-helpful Rowan and Dagan. That was one of the best and most laughable parts. Rhea cursing the whole time made it even more comical. After that, Genevieve - Genie for short - was born. Awwwwwwwww. Reeve is a dad!

I know a lot of pregnancies happened in this book, but there is no way anything could beat the Browan pregnancy! EEEEEEEEEEEEP!! I cannot wait to read about the Browan kid(s) in the upcoming spinoff series. The announcement was so hilarious! One minute, she's telling them and the next, Sarita reveals her magical abilities.

Sarita's magic wasn't that surprising to me. Elric gave her the spells and I figured that was because she could actually use them. And the old lady also gave her the book, so she might have detected something in her. Sarita was always a bit special.

I am still shocked about the Cassandra thing. I should have seen that she was Sidonie's sister. There were a few clues. And I suppose I always knew she would betray the others, and I never liked her. I just didn't expect her to be stupid enough to think Dagan would fall for her if Sidonie was gone, and I didn't think she would try and drain all the sorceress' magic. I'm kind of ecstatic she's dead, and won't be able to interfere with Sidagan anymore. The way Adelphie killed her though.. damn! "Go rot in hell, I don't need another sister." LOL.

Basically, everybody except Xavier and Dahlia is expecting children or have already become parents. Even Rianne and Zander. Damn. I wasn't prepared for this! I am so happy for all the couples, and I am so happy they all are happy together. I loved the conversation between Xavier and Dahlia where they discussed being the odd ones out, and Xavier was all "Don't drink the water if you don't want a baby!" and Dahlia replies "I think I'll stick to wine." HA HA HA

One of the best scenes was definitely the second Winter Ball. I loved the snowball fight, of course. It was hilarious! So cute how Dagan was so nervous about the wedding he actual made it snow indoors unintentionally. The best part of the ball was the Sidagan wedding!!! I am so glad Dagan decided to give Sidonie an actual wedding instead of doing it in private with Raven. The best walk down the aisle (apart from the bride's) was Dahlia. First, she nodded and then she stuck her tongue out at Dagan. Classic Dahlia! Sidonie was such a badass when she ripped of her Wizard robes to reveal the sabra dress. I laughed so hard when Dagan shouted "Oh no! Imps!" as revenge for Bree forcing Rowan to implant the wedding idea into his head.  At first I thought it was real and thought "Not again!" but then, I realised this was Dagan's way of getting back at Bree because the imps crashed her wedding. These things only happen in Everealm, folks.XD

The series ends so sweetly. At the middle of Finn and Bree's dance, the baby gets too impatient! Rowan is just standing there like...

... and Reeve is like "I guess it's your turn. I'll get the bucket" and Finn says "I'll get the towels" and Rowan shouts after him "don't forget the rum!"

Literally. The last sentence is ""Finn!" Rowan called out, before adding "And the rum." I honestly just sat there for like 5 minutes after I finished it, and I didn't know how to react. And then I started laughing because of Rowan's reaction, and then I started crying because it's over, and then it became a combination and now here I am!

I still cannot believe this series is over. It has earned a very special place in my heart over the past year and I am so proud of where the books, the author and the characters have gotten throughout the course of 5 books. I am so happy about the ending, and I am so excited to read more in Everealm and about our beloved characters, and new ones I'm sure/ But, for now...
