Oh No It's Back to School Time Again | Top Ten Tuesday - Books I Need To Read Before School Starts

August 22, 2017

We all know that when school starts, all the time in the world will not be enough for reading. I want to knock some reads out before the year of torture starts, so here's 10 books I'd like to read before the first day of school! Top Ten Tuesday was created by Broke and Bookish

Are you dreading school as much as I am? What books do you plan to read?

  1. The Invasion of The Tearling was so good. One of the best sequels I have read. Sadly, I hated The Fate of the Tearling.

    1. Oh, that's too bad. Hopefully I'll feel the same about Invasion of the Tearling, but differently about Fate of the Tearling

  4. I'm actually reading The Name of the Wind right now. I don't read this kind of fantasy much (because it sucks my brain power) but it's been so very good so far.

  6. I want to read The Martian, too! I haven't seen the movie yet, but the concept sounds interesting.

I hope you get a lot of reading time before school -- that's a lot of books! :)

    1. I know, it sounds amazing! I know, it's ambitious, and I'm 99% sure I won't get through all of these, but one can hope. *fingers crossed*

  7. I love your twist on the topic! Six of Crows is one of my all time favorite books, so I really hope you'll enjoy it! The characters are so fantastic in it, the ships are amazing and so are the friendships. I really want to read The Martian, too. I've heard so many awesome things about it and have been meaning to pick it up for quite some time. Wonderful list!

  8. I'm actually excited to go back, but I'm in Uni, so slightly different to school and I've been off for like four months now, so I'm getting a bit bored of being on holiday! The only one of these I've read is Six of Crows, but I really enjoyed it, so I hope you do too.

    1. I am loving Six of Crows so far (I am currently reading it.) The Queen of the Tearling was quite good. A bit slow, but I enjoyed the plot and the politics in it. I sincerely doubt I'll get to all of them but a girl can hope :D

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! You just made my day :)

    1. I just finished Six of Crows and oh my freaking goodness, I am so kicking myself for not reading it sooner! It was mind-blowing, and my heart feels empty now that I've read it and don't have Crooked Kingdom. I hope enjoy the Martian as much as you did as well. Thank you! :D
